Zoology Science Fair Projects

Animals are more than creatures that are furry, slimy, or scaly; they provide jobs, a sense of purpose, order, and affection for many. Which is why doing a project that uses animals as the main part of the study for your next science fair project is a great way to show your love for animals, and have a project that you can enjoy completing! Choosing a project about zoology can prove challenging, as there are many different entities that one has to consider and look over, such as if they wish to do a live experiment, an experiment on an animal that cannot be brought to the fair, or if the project may be too expensive. However, we have found some various projects that are relatively safe, easy, and affordable for you:

- Territorial behavior of hamsters

- Does a mouse smell or see better

- What types of foods do ants prefer

- What are the effects of heat, moisture, ventilation, and light regarding the development of a egg embryo

A project using live animals should always be done with proper supervision and care to ensure that no animals are harmed or killed during your experiment. Always take the proper precautions when dealing with animals, and be sure to feed, clean, and take care of them while using them for your project. Most importantly share your information and the purpose about your project, and elaborate upon the importance of using animals for an educational purpose.
