Human Behavior Science Fair Projects

We tend be interesting, innovating, contradictory, complex, diverse, and yet so simple. Human behavior properties and characteristics are often times seen as an oxymoron within itself. There are so many various projects one can complete when wanting to incorporate the idea of human behaviors. There is so much to learn, and at the same time scientists, sociologists, psychologists, and professionals of multiple fields are still attempting to make reason and understanding of human behavior. Therefore, here are some ideas for using the concept of human behavior for your next science fair project:

- Are you really smiling or faking it?

- In general we often times fake smiles in situations that are awkward or we must present a sense of fabricated emotion, but is it possible for individuals to tell whether we are faking our smile? Find out whether you are Duchenne smiling or not.

- Fear rate

- We’ve all been hypothetically speaking scared to death at one time or another, our hearts start to beat fast, and adrenaline starts to pump. But is measuring your pulse an accurate way to measure your emotions?

- Delayed gratification? Or delayed satisfaction?

You’ve heard it before, “save it for later”, the concept of delayed gratification is argued by many scientists to be a pseudoscientific pleasure, that only seems gratifying when we make our minds believe it is. Don’t delay trying to attempt this, as it can lead to great insight about you!
