Primary Materials Used: Thermometers, Pressure Steam Sterilizer, Beaker, Samples of Goat’s, Cow’s, Sheep’s and Human Breast Milk, Stopwatch, Plastic Screw Cap Test Tubes, Double Boiler, Test Tube Tongs, Magnetic Agitator, Different types of Agar, Burner, 2 Erlenmeyer Flasks with Screw-Top Stoppers, Pipets, Petri Dishes, Ethanol, Incubator, Hot Plate
Details: Click Here to see the complete free science fair project "What’s in Your Milk?" Samples of goat, cow, sheep and human breast milk were pastuerized, while another set of samples were not. The samples were incubated for 48 hours and then tested for different types of bacteria. The hypothesis was proven correct. However, the bacteria levels of the different types of milk at the end of the experiment may surprise you!

Although the hypothesis of this project is simple, and the result fairly predictable, the actual experiments are very meticulous and quite fascinating. This is an excellent project for high school students!
